Travel Advice

On this page you will find essential information regarding Covid19 restrictions for travelling to and from France. Although we make every effort to keep the information up to date, we recommend always checking government sources and your travel provider before travelling.

With effect from 18th March, the UK government removed all Covid-19 travel restrictions, so travellers to the UK no longer have to complete the UK Passenger Locator Form and unvaccinated travellers no longer have to have pre-departure and day-2 post-arrival tests.

Fully vaccinated travellers to France must provide:

a) Proof of vaccination. Since 1 February 2022, in order for the vaccination status to be recognised as complete, persons aged 18 years or older wishing to enter France must have received a booster dose of the vaccine no later than nine months after receiving the last mandatory dose.

b) A sworn statement attesting to the absence of symptoms of Covid-19 infection in the 48 hours prior to travel and no contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the previous 14 days. Download the form in English here.

If you are not fully vaccinated:

Travellers from the UK to France who are not fully vaccinated no longer need to self-isolate on arrival. Travellers who are not fully vaccinated need to provide:

a) A completed international travel certificate to prove the reason for essential travel. This can be found on the French government’s website. In exceptional circumstances, the French Consulate in London may be able to assist with travel for a compelling reason not listed as an ‘essential reason for travel.’

b) A negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours or an antigen test result taken within 48 hours pre-departure if aged 12 years and over.

c) A sworn statement (déclaration sur l’honneur) self-certifying you’re not suffering from COVID-19 symptoms and haven’t been in contact with confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to travel. Download the form in English here.
